Introduction

The Foundation was established pursuant to Article 10 of the Foundations Act and the Articles of Endowment of the Chung-Hua Institution for Legal Research. It was approved for establishment by the Ministry of Justice under Letter Fa-Lu-Zi No. 10803511620 dated August 23, 2019, and was registered on September 16, 2019. The Taiwan Taipei District Court issued the Juridical Person Registration Certificate No. 000015 of 2019.

The Foundation has established a Board of Directors. The first board consists of 13 directors appointed by the donors, and the directors elected one chairperson, one vice chairperson, and one executive director from among themselves. In addition, two advisors and three supervisors were appointed, one of whom serves as standing supervisor. The Foundation also has one president, one secretary-general, and one part-time accountant, and has established research centers including the Criminal Law Research Center, Fiscal and Tax Law Research Center, Medical Law Research Center, and Real Estate Legal System Research Center.
